FLY-FISHING areas and regulations
AREA A
The Area A extends from the St. Francis Church in Licko Lesce to the Stanisic Bridge, the fifth concrete bridge in the village of Prozor. The area is rich in the domestic brown and rainbow trouts. Only artificial fly baits are allowed.
DAILY CATCH ALLOWED: brown or rainbow trout – one fish
FISH MEASUREMENTS:
brown trout – 50cm
rainbow trout – 40cm
Catch and release is practiced in the river section extending from the Podgora Bridge, the first concrete bridge upstream the river, to the point where the Sinacka Pucina joins the Gacka. After capture, the fish are unhooked and returned to the water. Anglers particularly prefer several locations renowned for large trout specimens. In the upper part of Area A, such locations include the St. Francis Chapel, Kastelisce, and the deep eddy
Kolakov Vir near the Crvena Resa. An interesting angling spot is also the legendary location of Stalice below the third concrete bridge. According to enchanted eyewitnesses, you may find meter long trout there.
GRAYLING AREA
The Grayling Area extends from the Tonkovic Vrilo to the St. Francis Chapel.
DAILY CATCH ALLOWED: grayling – one fish
